Job Summary:

Repair and perform preventative maintenance on machinery/mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. Applicant must have the ability to interpret drawings necessary for the installation of machinery and equipment. Will correctly, safely, and efficiently use the proper tools, instruments, and gauges required to install, maintain, and trouble shoot mechanical equipment. Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform maintenance on lubricating systems, bearings, seals, gearboxes.

  • Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power).

  • Must possess demonstrated ability to safely utilize a forklift and high lift.

  • Must be physically capable of performing heavy mechanical work.

  • Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers.

  • Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background, drug, and work screen.

  • Must be available to work shifts, weekends, call-outs and overtime.

Tool Room Clerk

Job Summary:

Oversees the entire tool room and its functions.  Supervises workers within the tool room.  Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, safety supplies, and equipment by performing the following duties.  This is a full-time position.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.

  • Maintains inventory of consumable welding and safety equipment and supplies.

  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory and makes appropriate entries to inventory control.

  • Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.

  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.

  • Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment.

  • Operates forklift, pallet jack, and other heavy equipment when necessary.

  • Marks and identifies tools and equipment with identification tags.

  • Organizes tools and equipment on shelves and racks for easy access.

  • Maintains tool room equipment manuals, processes, and operational guidelines.

  • Practices good housekeeping, tool control, and safety at all times.

  • Other similar or related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background, drug, and work screen.

  • Must be mechanically inclined, possess strong attention to detail, and have a working knowledge of general hand tools and their applications.

  • Computer skills required.

  • Completion of high school or GED and six months to one year related experience and/or training required.
